چکیده
We report on a 65-year-old woman with typical clinicopathologic features of eosinophilic fasciitis (Shulman syndrome) who suffered from lower limb ischemia and abdominal aorta aneurysm. Physical examination, laboratory data and histopathologic findings confirmed the diagnosis of eosinophilic fasciitis. The patient underwent aorto-bifemoral vascular prosthesis implantation. Tissue reactions associated with eosinophilic fasciitis produced serious disturbances of the implanted graft healing.

Acquired Infrarenal Abdominal Aortic Coarctation: Treatment with Percutaneous Self Expandable Stent
Abdominal aortic coarctation is an extremely rare vascular pathology. Its etiology can be congenital or acquired. Here we present a case of acquired infrarenal abdominal coarctation in a 66-year-old woman who complained of low back and legs pain. She had no signs of resting lower limb ischemia, with diminished distal pulses and normal blood pressure in upper and lower extremities. Magnetic reso...

We report a rare complication of acute onset paraplegia after repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm in a patient with acute type B aortic dissection. A 53-year-old man, suffering from abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), was admitted to our hospital with type IIIB acute aortic dissection. Ten days after admission, emergency Y-grafting was performed for impending rupture of the AAA. Twenty hours af...

In addition to the liver, human hydatidosis has been reported in the lung, brain, abdominal viscera, muscles, and heart chambers. Infarction of the brain has also been documented. Arterial embolism of the lower extremities by hydatid cyst, however, is extremely rare. In the presented case, acute ischemia of the patient's left leg led to gangrene and amputation. Complete workup for localizat...
